Making chocolate covered apple slices for Matsuri this weekend. I hope it turns out well. XD
Just finished making one of the recipes from my Unofficial Game of Thrones Cookbook. I made the Dothraki
Duck Chicken. It’s quite a tasty dish, and actually doesn’t take all that much time to make. It’s got a sort of citrus & savory flavor to it.
If anyone is interested in making it, I have the recipe transcribed onto my computer, so I don’t mind sharing.
I really want to try it with duck next time.
DUDE! So, I just learned about Waffle Balls! Oh man, they sound delicious! At first I was like “WTF IS A WAFFLE BALL?” But then like… I found this recipe and oh… Oh man. It just … It sounds really good.
- 12 large strawberries, hulled
- 6 ounces semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
- Vegetable oil, for deep-frying
- 2 cups dry pancake and waffle mix (plus additional ingredients as directed on package)
- Confectioners’ sugar, for dusting
Put the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high at 15-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is almost melted; remove and stir until smooth. Dip the strawberries in the melted chocolate; return to the parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze until the chocolate hardens, about 15 minutes.
Dip the chocolate-covered strawberries in the batter, turning to coat; let any excess drip off. (If the batter is too thin, add 1 to 3 more tablespoons dry mix.) Carefully place the berries in the hot oil (skewers and all); fry, turning as needed, until the batter is golden and just cooked through, 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. Remove with tongs and drain on paper towels or a rack. Let sit for 5 to 10 minutes to allow the chocolate to re-harden. Dust with confectioners’ sugar.
12 Days of Nerd-Mas: It’s a Supernatural Christmas, Sam Winchester! Salted Hot Chocolate
You know what is delicious? Salted chocolate. Not only does this warm snuggly drink keep away demons, but it’s super easy to make. Which is my favorite kind of make.
You really want to use the darkest chocolate you can find for this. I like my chocolate how I like my men. In a cup and covered in whipped cream.
What you Need:
- 2 cups granulated Sugar
- 3 cups dry Milk(Canned works.)
- 1-1/2 cups Cocoa
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
What to Do:
- Mix all dry ingredients and chips together in large bowl. In small doses, use a blender or food processor to grind up finely. Oh so fine.
- Warm 1 cup of milk on stove (Or the microwave because dammit, you are busy with demons who be tryin’ climb up in your windows. Snatchin’ yo’ Winchesters up.) Stir in 1/3 cup of the mixed powder you made.
- Top with whatever you like: Marshmallows, whipped cream, sprinkles or whatevers.
Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is more Destiel love. An on-screen kiss wouldn’t hurt ‘neither.
Can’t enough of these No-Bake Baileys Bonbons! Just 4 ingredients, festive sprinkles, and a whole lot of deliciousness.
Who wants to have an alcoholic laden sweets party??
